Apple Cider Green Tea

Here’s what you need:

● 1 cup water

● 1 green tea bag (or 1 teaspoon loose leaf green tea)

● 1/2 cup apple cider (store-bought or homemade)

● 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

● 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger (optional)

● Honey or maple syrup (to taste)

● Sliced apple or a cinnamon stick for garnish

It’s time to brew!

Step 1

Brew the Green Tea

  • In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, remove from heat
  • Add the loose Green Tea . Allow the tea steep for about 10-15 minutes.
  • After steeping, strain the tea leaves if using loose tea. If you use a tea bag, simply remove it.
  • Alternatively, Insert 1 Black Tea Pod into your Keurig machine. Select 6 oz of water for the best brew.
  • Combine with Cider: In a small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup of apple cider until warm (do not boil).
 

Step 2

Prepare the Flavor Mixture

  • Stir in 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon of ground ginger (if using) into the warm cider.
 

Step 3

Combine Tea and Flavor Mixture

  • Pour the brewed green tea into a mug. Add the spiced apple cider mixture and stir well.
  • Add sweetener: Add honey or maple syrup to taste, if desired.
