Step 1
Prep the ingredients
- Prep citrus juices : Squeeze the juice from half an orange and half a lemon into separate measuring spoons. Strain if desired to remove pulp.
Step 2
Brew the Earl Grey Tea
- In a small pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil over medium heat.
- Remove the water from heat and add the herbal tea leaves. Let it steep for about 5-7 minutes.
- Strain the tea leaves if using loose tea. If you use a tea bag, simply remove it.
Step 3
Mix everything together
- Add Sweetener: Stir in the honey or agave syrup while the tea is still warm.
- Add Citrus Juices: Let the tea cool slightly, then stir in the fresh orange juice and lemon juice.
- Infuse with Mint: Add the fresh mint leaves to the tea. Gently bruise the leaves by pressing them with the back of a spoon to release their flavor.
- Add Garnish: Garnish with a slice of fresh orange or slice of fresh lemon.
This single-serving recipe is perfect for a quick refreshment. Feel free to adjust the sweetness and citrus levels to your liking!
